Petrona Award 2015 shortlist
I love Nordic Noir so my immediate TBR project is the shortlist for the Petrona Award 2015.
I have just finished The Human Flies by Norwegian writer and historian Hans Olav Lahlum. This is a novel in the spirit of the golden age of detective fiction with a murder behind closed doors and a limited cast of suspects in a block of flats in Oslo. The book is set in 1968 but refers back to events during the Second World War in Norway.
I was unsure about the K2, our detective, and Patricia, his behind the scenes helper, dynamic and plot device when it was introduced. However, I was gripped and read on avidly to a satisfying end.
I was particularly interested to read the postscript about the author’s aunt to whom the book is dedicated.
On the Amazon scale of 1-5 I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
